Las Vegas, NV – (March 22nd, 2017) – The Well Care Group announces Michael P. Casal, MD, FACOG to their Behavioral Health Care and Family Practice in Reno, Nevada.
Dr. Michael P. Casal’s duties will include overseeing clinic operations, as well as service patients in The Well Care Group’s Reno Nevada clinic. Dr. Casal brings not only experience and knowledge to the Reno clinic but also his passion for medicine. Dr. Casal is fluent in Spanish and Tagalog, allowing The Well Care clinic to service a wide variety of patients.
Dr. Michael P. Casal’s roots started in the Los Angeles area where he attended California State University Los Angeles CSULA, earning his degree in Bachelor of Science, Biology. After completing his undergraduate degree Dr. Casal attended medical school at the University of California Davis School of Medicine, earning an MD degree. He then went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the White Memorial Medical Center (WMMC-Los Angeles, CA), a hospital affiliate of Loma Linda University.
Dr. Casal believes strongly for the need to have preventive primary care services and women’s health integrated into the behavioral health practice of The Well Care Group. He states, “I am committed to making sure that Reno receives efficient, affordable, comprehensive and quality medical care.” Dr. Casal feels that the success in managing the patients’ primary care issues is tied to their mental health. Dr. Casal states, “Without the recognition of the need for collaboration between specialties, leads to inefficiencies in health care provision and increase in medical costs. The unique model that we are developing will be a great asset to the Reno community.”
Dr. Casal is a provider and owner of one of only four freestanding birthing centers in the State of Tennessee. He has had his own private practice for the last 16 years incorporating primary care, pediatric and obstetrics and gynecology. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in women’s health and is excited to join the staff of Well Care.
Dr. Michael Casal has been married for 25 years and has 5 daughters and 2 boys.

The Well Group started with the opening of their first location, Well Care Pharmacy in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2007.
